Site Engineer/Senior Engineer - Tier 1 Contractor

My client are a Tier 1 Contractor who have a Cambridge based office that services the Cambridgeshire and Northern Home Counties region. Due to several new project wins, my client are looking to recruit either a strong Site Engineer or a Senior Engineer.
The projects range from £10m-£80m and are across Life Sciences, Commercial, Education, Leisure and more.
The Role
They are looking for a technically strong and hands on individual with a passion for delivering high quality projects, This is exciting times to join as the region embarks on a busy phase of growth.
- Site Control/Surveying/Checking/Setting Out
- Allocate resources effectively, including labour, materials, and equipment.
- Interpret and implement engineering plans.
- Ensure all work meets the required quality standards and specifications.
- Identify and resolve any technical issues or design discrepancies that arise during construction.
- Enforce health and safety regulations, conducting regular site inspections and safety meetings.
- Maintain communication with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Liaise with local authorities and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with building codes and permits.
- Maintain detailed records of site activities, progress, and any changes to the project scope.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant legislation, standards, and contractual obligations.
- Propose and implement innovative engineering solutions to enhance project efficiency and quality.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and construction staff.
