Invision are a proud recruitment partner of a major Top 20 Construction Main Contractor who are seeking to recruit a Project Engineer. They have many sectors to their business and cover Residential, Commercial, Leisure, Hospitality, Education to name a few. Despite being a large contractor, they have managed to hold an excellent reputation for their quality of build and retention of their workforce.

£150million – Grade II listed Retrofit Project

The project will transform the building to provide 110,000 sq ft of Grade A office workspace. Construction work includes the demolition of the existing top floor and the incorporation of two new floors and a roof terrace constructed with a state-of-the-art cross-laminated timber structure. By retaining 90% of the existing building structure, this redevelopment effort will be technically challenging.

The Position

The successful candidate will be tasked with providing guidance on technical, quality and engineering related issues to the project team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working on retrofit “Cut and Carve” projects within the residential or commercial sectors an individual structural package management experience and from a Civil or Structural Engineering background.

Main Duties:

Provide engineering support to the site-based project team.
Ensure quality assurance processes and standards for a construction project are adhered to.
Manage changes to engineering design and contribute to improvements, keeping in mind budgetary requirements.
Resolve any engineering issues that are raised by clients, authorities, consultants and the project management team.
