Invision Recruitment is in collaboration with a prominent Design & Build Main Contractor, specialising in commercial and industrial projects. With project valuations typically reaching £10 million and an annual turnover of approximately £70 million, their focus lies in delivering outstanding outcomes while nurturing an environment of collaboration & excellence.
We're currently on the lookout for an enthusiastic and proficient Quantity Surveyor to become a part of their team based in Surrey. In this role, you'll manage up to three projects concurrently, working closely with industry professionals to expand your expertise and gradually progress into a Senior Quantity Surveyor position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in overseeing and administering cost control systems for construction endeavours, encompassing estimation, budgeting, and prognostication.
- Conduct comprehensive cost analyses and evaluations of project budgets, pinpointing potential cost efficiencies and risk minimisation strategies.
- Prepare and scrutinise tender documentation, contracts, and other legal agreements, ensuring adherence to project specifications and industry benchmarks.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to guarantee precise and punctual reporting of project expenditures and financial performance.
- Undertake regular site visits and inspections to monitor advancement, evaluate workmanship, and validate quantities for valuation purposes.
- Aid in negotiating contracts, subcontractor agreements, and modifications, settling disputes and disparities as they arise.
- Offer mentorship and assistance to junior team members, nurturing their professional advancement and integration within the organisation.
